Musiktheater for Post-Insect Beings: Exploring the Art of Decomposition

Jorge Villoslada, and ruído blanco (Martín Sanhueza, and Paulo Amendoeira) present an extended performance project in which compose a multimedia musical theater. Video projection, analog and digital sounds, and movements across the stage are set to be its main elements. The initial creative stimulus arises from their experiences with decomposing bodies in natural environments, the relentless passage of time upon them, and memory— deeply connected to the violence inflicted on these bodies throughout the history of dictatorships in Portugal, Spain, and Latin America— which ensures their presence within the collective consciousness.

With the support of the Amman-Falb Scholarship 2025 (Bern, Switzerland)
